Short Bio: (For most of it you can feel free to read his wikipeidia article, this is placed after he's left wrestling and explains how he became a mutant and all that.)
During the groundwork for a purposed documentary about the life normally lived by those many young mutants who were thrown out of their homes and made into orphans he decided to go make a short film to show to his potential investors. Bischoff wanted it to be very basic to make the point just how desperate life had become for these orphaned children so he went off alone with just a simple home camcorder to try and track down a group of young squatters he'd heard about.

When he thought that he'd found them it turned out that he'd actually found more than he bargained for. Instead of the weak young squatters he found a young uncontrolled class 5 by accident. The frightened child, who viewed all humans as a potential threat, lashed out at Bischoff with her powers. Unknowingly awakening a long dormant mutation in Bischoff's own genetic structure. A mutant potential that had been passed down in his family and wasn't due to manifest itself for many more generations to come.
